Blitz on the beach

We took the dogs for a morning at Crosby. Although there are miles of beautiful sand to the south as you head north you come across lots of building rubble. It was first moved there in 1942 as sea defences using rubble from the 1941 blitz.
It ranges from beautiful carved sandstone weighing tons, to lots of normal bricks, weathered over many decades.
I particularly love the impromptu temporary arrangements that crop up, only to be erased by the high tide.

We followed this with lunch at J9s dads.

All round good day.
