Monday 30 July 2012: Squirrel guard?

Here are a couple of young squirrels munching at the bird feeder. In case you are wondering, the purpose of the dome is to keep squirrels off the feeder, but try telling that to these two. When we first put the dome in place we had fun watching the squirrels climb to the top of the pole and then slide over the top of the dome, but it didn't take them long to work out how to reach out to the feeder from the pole.
