Didn't go in to work this morning - Cécile warned me there was to be a snap inspection from this Health & Safety spy.

Poor Cécile had a torrid morning serving customers while fielding ever more hostile questions from the H & S battle-axe.

Apparently employees should be provided with their own toilets & when they wash their hands, towels are forbidden because they're bung full of microbes. Paper towels must be provided plus a suitable receptacle.

It got worse when Ms. battle-axe demanded to see the workshop - bingo - field-day - Cécile told as many little white lies as she was able but fears that the H & S gone mad will shortly hit the fan. She hasn't told CC about this, not wanting to spoil his harp adventure in Brittany.
