Saturday 28 July 2012: Big skies from Crail
Ahh, we're in Crail again.
Wonderful to be here, and a much shorter drive from Edinburgh than Cornwall!
The view is from Roome Bay beach looking towards the Isle of May, with the big cloud dropping rain on the area around North Berwick which we can see on the opposite side of the River Forth. We think of this as sea more than river as we're very close to Fife Ness, and it's definitely the North Sea out there!
The best thing about arriving at Sandcastle Cottage (apart from it being like coming home for us) is to walk across the road to the coastal path and down to Roome Bay and just see how much sky there is out there. Look east and you see a horizon - something you can't see in the city.
Breathe and relax. Ahhh.
