Our second home, in Brodsworth.

The topic for today is 'Natural Framing', and the easiest way to explain it is to see examples of it really.

Essentially, it's a compositional technique whereby the surrounding natural environment is used to frame your intended subject. Natural frames have a distinct shape and should be easily separated (visually) from the rest of the photograph.

In my picture, I have used the overhead tree tunnel/awning thing to frame the magnificent Victorian house.

Tea, anyone? Butler! ;)

Many thanks for looking/comments/shares/favs!
