Wednesday 1 August 2012: To the windmill

The forecast was for rain today, so right on cue it arrived just as I was walking a short stretch of the Fife Coastal Path between St Monan's and Pittenweem.

The walk takes you past the St Monans windmill, which was used for the salt pans which were a short-lived (40 years or so) piece of industrial enterprise in the late 1700s.

I was on my way for further visits to the Pittenweem Arts Festival - with 90 venues, one visit is simply not enough!

The rest of the family had gone to play golf at Elie children's course, but I prefer just walking.
