Enzo Ferrari, Modena.

We took the train from Bologna to Modena ( 25 minutes) to go to The Enzo Ferrari Museum. Although we are not petrol heads, we do watch the odd episode of Top Gear...so thought it might be worth a visit.

Gosh- it was stunning....the modern building next to his father's workshop and then there were the cars.....you could get really close ( but no touching!) and they actively encouraged you to take pictures.

There were a couple of videos- projected onto the walls and ceilings- one of his life and the other showing Ferraris in films and television.

We also had a spectacular lunch there- very good food ( I had handmade pumpkin tortellini with an aged balsamic dressing....delicious and a glass of sparkling red Lambrusco .... Not like the horrid stuff from the supermarket at home)

Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
