Allium Seedhead

The teasels fascinate me. They're like an army preparing to invade. It's the backlight that makes them look translucent when in fact they're armoured.

Bees adore the flowers. I tried to get some shots but the breeze was too strong this morning. Managed two, and then I saw this allium standing out against the dark background. The patterns are wonderful.

You don't notice the very shallow dof since it's the tips of the seed stalks that take the eye.

Probably a trip into Loughborough with Len later.
