Thursday 2 August 2012: Gatekeeper
Spent the day trying to sort out my upcoming meeting in Copenhagen. Tricky to make decisions on restaurants and lunchtime buffets from afar. Got started on the statistics that I'll need to present at the meeting - such fun!
Managed a quick lunchtime walk under threatening skies. The Himalayan Balsam was in flower in the ditches and smelled very sweet. It was too windy to catch the numerous bees visiting the flowers. I followed this gatekeeper for a while hoping it would settle. Got it eventually. Was going to investigate a field that I'd found with lots of wildflowers - had to retreat as it is now occupied by some very curious cattle who seem to have eaten all aforementioned flora!
