Contrasts

This morning I went to the supermarket - I'd promised to make tzatziki for dinner, so needed Greek yoghourt & limes.

It's a 15 minute walk. Farmland to the right. Houses to the left.

This part of the path with full grown maize on either side made me realise how different my supermarket experience is in Scottieland.

There it's a dismal Sainsburys unit on a dismal out of town retail park. Almost everyone drives there.

Seems to be cheaper in Bavaria too. 4.40 euros for a pack of 6 organic limes, 2 medium Greek yoghourts and 2 x 500ml bottles of Hofmühl. That includes a refundable deposit on the beer bottles. I thought the checkout girl had missed something.
