Friday 3 August 2012: A Promise is a Promise.
As my son is not that reliable with money, for his 13th birthday we opened him a bank account so he couldn't keep borrowing from us and spending more than he had. We hadn't told him beforehand so it was a surprise on his birthday, and we've said we'll pay money in each month if he keeps doing his jobs at home, and put some money in to start him off. Unable to contain his excitement he promised his little sister his first purchase on his new debit card would be some Team GB mini-figures. That day has arrived, and he's tried to back down! Haven't let him of course after he's promised her. She was so excited that it was archery when she opened it. They've even gone off to the sweet shop together today, will this brotherly/sisterly love last?
