Friday 3 August 2012: The farm team in Doroba
This is part of the team who own and run our commercial, co-operative model farm in Doroba.
There is 23 acres here, just starting, where we hope to do the same as in Lusangazi, but hope to add livestock with the help of the Ministry for Agriculture. A section is being set aside for eco-forestry and some 22 beehives.
At the moment they have about 40,000 bricks made and ready to fire. These will be used for building a small house and livestock sheds and stores.
The plan also included the production of maybe 10,000 citrus seedlings and other trees for firewood and soil improvement.
Mzuzu had some rain this morning and so the coats!!
