"How are we going to get up there?"

Mrs Unremarkable and I took Floyd and Ollie for a walk this afternoon, in the blistering heat. It was very hot, positively tropical, although 15 miles away, in Kirkwall, it was raining! That's islands for you - very fickle, weather-wise!

We wandered round the headland and then decided to shin down the cliff - as you do - to explore the shore below. The dogs managed it a lot more easily than we did. There was a lot of slippy green algae on the lower bits, and it was a bit of a slither at the bottom. At the other end of the beach we had the opposite problem, getting back up again!

Here we see MrsU discussing with Ollie the best route up the cliff! OK, this is a slight exaggeration, but it was genuinely pretty tricky and very steep, and there were quite a few loose bits of rock around too! I don't think we are a very good influence on each other - but it was fun!
