Friday 3 August 2012: Ending on a high!
I wasn't expecting this when I turned the corner after taking the Mallards Pike trail from Wrenchford. It really took my breath away! Whilst today's walk was definitely not as far as yesterday it still gave the legs a good stretch!
C left today, we decided we weren't going to say goodbye today, instead I will help her finish packing etc on Wednesday and we will do it then. I am so sad she is leaving Devon but know it is the right decision for her.
Due to the weather warnings for heavy rain for tomorrow I decided to pack up early and drive home tonight, missing the changeover traffic and avoiding a wet motorway! I wanted to make sure that I ended the week away on a high - not stuck in traffic. I have had the absolute best week away! Everything about it has been simply perfect! I am still toying with the idea of relocating here in a few years time.
Whilst I have been away Dad painted the living room floor for me - I cannot believe the difference! I love it, especially after living with bare concrete for a year! It looks really fresh and is perfect with the big chunky IKEA rug!
