Monday 6 August 2012: Stiff Leg
The name says it all. It is also a heavy lift barge and in a certain manner it is a collegue of the Thialf. But the Thialf cranes can slew and are of the so-called revolving type. A stiff leg can only boom up and down, if she wants to slew, she has to change heading. These type of barges are mostly used for salvage, heavy lifting in port and every now and then a summer job at sea.
