AbstractThursday 62 Art Deco

Today Mr MC and I were honoured and delighted to be invited to attend the wedding of the son of very dear,  close friends.  The marriage ceremony took place at Hackney Town Hall which  is a Grade II Listed neo-classical building, built in 1937  and recently restored to its original beauty.
After the ceremony we were taken by vintage London bus to Walthamstow Village for an afternoon reception.  Part 2 of the celebrations is on Sunday, when we have been invited to a rather wonderful London restaurant...

I took many photos today but of course I will not be sharing images of the bride and groom until they themselves have had the chance to post their own photos.
This then gave me the perfect opportunity to create a couple of abstracts from the days shots: the main image has a beautiful Art Deco light fitting from the Town Hall as the basis and the extra is created from one of the luscious cakes that we were served at the reception.
