Tuesday 7 August 2012: After the Gold Rush
Olympic fever struck the Mersh household today. The games consisted of 4 events:
Long jump & high jump (with beanbags instead of a sandpit); Frizbee discus and football.
The judge (me) declared it an honourable draw, thus preventing world war III.
At the presentation ceremony both athletes were awarded gold medals and I sang God Save the Queen as they raised their homemade Team GB flags.
Emma cried, Louise kept a stiff upper lip.
