First Ashore Anzac Cove.

Duncan Chapman. Just been unveiled at Queens Park. Born in Maryborough, Enlisted in the Queenslanders Regiment as a Lieut, he was the first soldier ashore for the Anzac troops at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915. Killed the following year at battle of Pozieres on the Western Front.
