Potluck

When we hatched eggs in May it was on the understanding that we would keep the hens & the cockerels would be for the pot.

This lucky cockerel is fast becoming their pride & joy. It seems he has secured a stay of execution just as long as he behaves.

Cockerels can and often are nasty and far from ideal to have in the garden when young children are running around so time will tell.
