Moxie, Then & Now

The old Moxie bottle is an advert from my great grand fathers general store in Machiasport. The store and vintage contents were lost to a hurricane in the 50s, the old bottle representation was found in the attic when we added the back dormer to the house. It hangs on the door to the woodshed from the kitchen. I saw the bottled Moxie in Eastport today. Billed as the 'Deliciously Different' soda, it certainly is. I'm not a soda drinker, but I do love it.

For the Record,
This day came in sunny and perfect. The next to the last day here, sigh. We had lobster rolls in Eastport to celebrate Labor Day. We also hatched a plan with our Swedes (Kalle's parents)who arrive in Hanover on Friday to drive to Kingston, New York to see Kalle and the Viking ship on the Hudson River next Sunday!!

All hands healthy
