More Nina

Started the day with a meeting, but happily it was just down the road from my house on a lovely sunny day. Home for the rest of the working day then out to see a thing at BBC at the Fringe.

Fringe show #25: Her Master's Voice: Screening and Q&A with Nina Conti
BBC at the Fringe was showing a screening of a documentary made by Nina Conti, followed by Q&A. The documentary was made following the death of her mentor Ken Campbell, when he left all of his ventriloquist equipment to her. Nina remembers times with Ken and reflects on his impact on her personal life and career, and travels to a ventriloquist convention in the US as Ken had always wanted her to do. It was funny and touching and as always Nina was likeable and beautifully well dressed. Afterwards Nina and Monkey answered questions from the audience, although Monkey was a little less foul-mouthed than usual due to the pre-watershed slot.
