Tuesday 24 July 2012: Hamnavoe in stone

I went to a stone letter cutting class taken by the famous Orkney sculptor, Frances Pelly. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own chisels, and made a couple of house signs. This one I made for my cousin, Bett Rae, she lives in Dumfries, but was born in Orkney. Hamnavoe is the old name for Stromness, where I live.
