Tuesday 7 August 2012: Dragonflies

I spotted these two when they were flying around looking for somewhere to lay eggs. I followed their path and then eventually found them in amongst the greenery. They were well camouflaged .

I wanted to get in close but I have only just stubbed my toe and didn't want to risk sticking it in the dirty water. I still liked the way this one came out though. It wasn't too bad an effort for a hand held shot of the 400 mm lens with the 2x extender and manual focus. They were about 20 meters away from me.
