Friday 10 August 2012: All That Glitters is not Golden

Relatively early up this am, the plan was a long run, but as sometimes happens when I run, my feet go in a different direction than planned and I found myself doing a shorter loop but faster. So I've done this loop this year 7 or 8 times, up to the Hut, across via the Apostle Stones, the trig point and masts down Keighley Gate and back home via Badger Stone. - Today 6minutes faster than my fastest time and first time under an hour. All this Olympic watching is working?, probably my move to the hills for running lately.

Just lovely out before it was too hot for this kind of thing. I encountered this lady, who was reluctant to move - she'd been eying up this bit of grass for a while - this is her looking down on me.

No Gold (so far) today for team GB, but the excitement continues. Today my gong goes to the BBC - they've done a great job in covering and making available and telling the stories on free to air TV and t'interweb n a way that makes you grateful to this great institution. Logistically it must be a gargantuan task.
