In other news, I discovered tonight that we can't currently recycle our glass. There's a notice on the bottle bank, saying that all the depots in the west of France are full, so they won't be picking up any glass for the foreseeable future. Hence a trip out with a full boot of glass bottles and jars, and they have now been returned to the garage...
