Stump no more!

Removing the stump and transplanting an orange in its place was a little challenging, but the relaxing afterwards was welcome. The orange had been planted from pot to well cultivated garden so the root structure had not begun to form, so digging it up had little impact. The second shot shows the beginning of next seasons fruit. Although it was well watered after planting, I expect to loose some of the fruit in the event of warmer weather. The long range weather forecast is for heavier than normal rainfall for Australia this summer. As the emergency services evacuated a town in the west of the state, their prediction may have commenced ahead of summer. Hope you have a great day. P.S. at the height of activity digging out the stump I checked my pulse, it was 112 bpm, exercise for the day!
