Greater Flamingos

Another session at Birdland today and these flamingos were as beautiful as ever. 
I checked in on the Humboldt babies and you can see Tuesday's chick in extras having a lie down. 
Stiffknees told me that Exeter zoo have lost all their Humboldts to avian malaria and Longleat have lost several too. I was nearly in tears reading the article about Exeter as many of them were hand reared and the keepers are all desolate. I asked Birdland about it and they are keeping a close eye on their collection. Fingers crossed.
