Queen Bee

The local beekeeping association were visiting the University apiary this afternoon. Faye asked me to start the meeting by going through the frames in my adopted hive and explain what I was doing. Nerve-racking stuff! These people are very experienced beekeepers and I'm a complete novice. However, they are a very friendly group of people and I managed to mutter a few words and even found the queen in the brood box. After that I could relax and listen to Faye and Matt talking about their hives at the apiary.
