POSH FLATS

Went to Newcastle this afternoon for another walk organised by the City Guides.  This one was called " Nightmares in Newcastle".  It - very loosely - featured places where crimes had been committed or scary events had taken place. It was an interesting walk which started at The Castle Keep ( as seen in my Extras ) and finished at the Central Station. Lots of interesting back alleys were explored - a bit like last week's walk.

My blip shot shows The Turnbull Building a converted Victorian print works - now  luxury flats offering contemporary city living.  Built in 1896 this Grade II Listed building was creatively and sympathetically converted  in 2005.  You can live in a furnished 2 bedroom flat in this building for a rent of £1,393 per week. The connection with the walk is that Mari Hannah a local author features this building in one of her Kate Daniels crime novels.

The walk took about 2 hours.  Afterwards I popped into Sainsburys at the railway station before getting the bus home.   Just having an evening in front of the TV - Strictly and Victoria.  Really enjoying Victoria.
