GROWING UP

This is a scene from a piece of ancient woodland, Stray Head Woods. It is owned by the Woodland Trust UK, in Littlebeck Valley, near Whitby. The small road down a very steep hill is called Lousy Hill Lane !

As a present I have been given 10 trees, newly planted in this area, and went today to find them !
After a long search we managed to find the area, which is mixed woodland in terms of both species and age. I look forward to future visits and wildlife watching in this beautiful spot.
