Saturday 11 August 2012: A Dose of the Morning News
Come Saturday morning we wander into the Blackheath CBD. We saunter into the newsagent and get a copy of the Sydney Morning Herald, complete with all of its attendant weekend supplements.
Staggering into the Wattle Cafe, a few doors up, we blearily locate a table. Sometime after the arrival of coffee, we find ourselves almost fully awake and staring at the latest dose of bleak headlines and sobering atrocities.
As the caffeine begins to take hold I feel myself beginning to cope with the world
