Loopy for Flying

An aviation themed evening followed an aviation day. After a trip to Duxford as guest crew for the Catalina, where among other duties I looped the ropes for the Gust Locks and photographed excited Air Cadets, I spent the evening with aviation friends old and new talking passionately about flying from films to aerobatics to flying days.

This painting is a favourite of mine and belongs to my dear friend Debs. It's from the World Aerobatics Championships in 1986. It always makes my heart smile, just as seeing the Catalina and her lovely crew again did for me today. Hopefully I'll see both again in the not too distant future.
