On the forest floor...

Out today in some amazing weather (it being mid October) at Wandlebury.  I was hoping to find some interesting fungi but no luck... I don't know about elsewhere but it seems to have been a poor year around here. I did find this clearly edible fungi on a rotten log. Pleased with this photograph - it's a marriage between the newest Canon offering and a pretty old manual focus Zeiss Planar 50mm f/1.4...

...also so many shapes, rich colours and textures...
