Monday 13 August 2012: Face in the forest
A very nice day. Had a good row (that's with boat and oars, not yelling and arguing, Wendy :-) ), did some cleaning and sorting, then headed to this woods of mostly douglas fir, cedar and arbutus, to walk about and stare into space. Lots of dappled light, lots of cobwebs. Quiet. A raven flew by several times. One tree, very tall and very rotten fell over since I was here last. I tired to take a photo with the "grainy black and white' setting on the camera but the color was so much better to my eye. This is Douglas, who got so fat, his clothes are splitting. And he's staring back.......
