Cumbria Here I Come

Hole in the wall

Woke up to sunshine today!  Did a circular walk from West Burton to Morpeth Scar and the weather was perfect for it.  There was a bit of uphill at the start of the walk and the views from the top were stunning.  Through the hole in the wall is the village of West Burton.  Last time I did this walk 13 years ago in early November the weather was very dull and windy.  The windswept tree I wanted to see was still there and still has lots of leaves.  West Burton is well known for its waterfall and have put a photo on flickr.   The sunshine didn't last all day though and cloud moved in and a little rain when I got back to the car.

Have taken advantage of a good broadband speed and uploaded a few on flickr
