Stranger At Beak House

This heron surprised us when we reached the pond in front of the 4th green this morning, firstly because we've never seen one there before and, secondly, because it didn't fly away as soon as we approached; in fact it was still there when we'd putted out.

We couldn't work out if it was injured or unwell or whether it had got cold overnight and was having trouble warming up. Whatever the case, it definitely seemed to be having difficulty in moving.

We're hoping the green keepers will be keeping an eye on it - and that it keeps an eye out for the stray golf balls that land in the pond on a regular basis ( not any of ours today for a change!)t
