Tuesday 14 August 2012: The watcher watched
Fred has settled down for a good long session in front of the box coop. The chicks, guided by their mother - aware that he favours "The Killing" over "The Natural World"- have retreated to the far end, uttering cries of alarm.
Unknown to Fred, their father, Snowy the fierce cockerel, is keeping a beady eye and a sharp beak trained upon the playground snooper.
