Wednesday 15 August 2012: Faster than a speeding bluetit
Beautiful day today and rose early enough to spend an hour or so foraging for a blip. My neighbours are starting to wonder I think as they probably see me staring fixedly at a tree for an hour while I wait for rare glimpse of a bird.
Pollokshields has an abundance of blue tits. They can be heard tweeting at all hours - even at three in the morning. But they are nippy little creatures and I've never been able to capture one, however common they are, so was rather pleased to get this little fellow. Might I suggest bigger is better for this one.
My immediate neighbour has an elaborate array of bird feeders/ stands/ balls so I'll be staring fixedly at that in future should I want another sighting.
This new lens of mine needs a hell of a lot of light - even when taking pictures in the sun.
