NHM: terracotta monkeys HDR

Back blip.

This was my first day back at the Natural History Museum after the Olympics: it was so nice to be back...

I had a busy day so didn't go for my usual (extended) photo wander, but took a few sets of photos of the main hall to make HDR images. The museum was absolutely heaving, so this was my only resulting shot that doesn't feel compromised by the bustle of museum visitors. I think visitors ought to be required to walk in synchronised symmetrical patterns: that way they'd complement the architecture...

I took this from the top of the stairs in the central hall (on the second floor by the giant Sequoia); I love the way that these monkeys climb the arches.
