Frustration

A very pleasant fungus walk today. One of the frustrations though, is when leading, it's pretty much impossible to take photos. Another is trying to pin down these small red waxcaps. The difference between finely squamulose, tormentose, radially fibrillose, or finely pruinose are amongst the definitions to be wrestled with when trying to key them out. I've put this one in a closed container and it won't be allowed out until it smells faintly of garlic. Other smells encountered today include bed bugs, pelargoniums and coconut.
