Thursday 16 August 2012: Kannan

This is a statue of Kannan, I pass this statue to and from work each day.

Was planning on heading into the city for food but there is some inter-community trouble happening. About 2wks ago there was trouble in Assam between the locals and the migratory population from Bangladesh and over the last few days there has been trouble in other cities between Muslims and people from northern India. Bangalore has had an exodus of thousands of people over the last few days. The govt and police are claiming the trouble is all rumour and are calling for calm.

So I'd rather have a quiet night in.
