Harvesting carrots

In the last 2 months i started to photograph and film different items of harvesting. I started with harvesting grain. I wanted to make a serie in pictures, but i ended with a short film about the subject.

The next subject was potatoes grub. This also resulted in a short film and some pictures.

Today my friend Klaas called to say "they were into the carrots'. Unfortunately they just stopped because of the weather when i arrived. During pouring rain they can't harvest. They already boxed a few tons of carrots and i took a ride with one of the farmers to the place they stored the carrots. 

Very impressing and this picture is one of my favorites of this day. It reflects the rain in this desolated polder. And the hard working farmer.
