Thursday 16 August 2012: Rodney
I've see this man's face appear on a few recent blips taken at the Edinburgh Festival. I can see why. He is extraordinarily gorgeous and glows like a beacon even on the packed Royal Mile. He's very young - probably only around 16/17 I would guess and very shy and soft in person.
His name's Rodney, rather unexotically :-). He has apparently been approached by some of the top model agencies in the UK. He's mulling it over and is enjoying acting at the moment. He and the rest of the cast he was with on the Royal Mile are Hungry Bitches. I told him he had to check out all his photos on blip :-))
Wow Edinburgh is a total circus! I went to a few shows last year but they were quite away from the Royal Mile. I've never actually been in the Country, while I've been living in Scotland, to attend otherwise...so it's my first time being in the midst of the throng! It was good fun and I took lots of pictures. I'm staying with a friend and we're off to see some comedy tonight - and we've decided to go for a few mojitos to celebrate.....
Big news of the day. Had another meeting at work with HR (another one!). This time they behaved well (primarily because the head of the union telephoned the HR manager and told them to get their act together). The upshot is I go back on Tuesday. I was informed of another resignation within the team (two in total while I have been off) meaning that I am the only original member of the team left! What a mess. Anyway, plans my friends, plans. But I won't have to live on beans while the plans come to fruition.
I am so grateful to John my lovely Union Rep. All done voluntarily and he has been an absolute legend. I just ordered a bottle of Single Malt for him to say thank you. Hope he's a whisky man.
So I can breathe a sigh of relief....phew!
Long weekend to enjoy before I'm back to the grindstone :-)
