Is it worth it?

Edinburgh, possibly more than any other city of a similar size, gives itself over to Festivals all year.

Only a month ago, we said goodbye to the ferris wheel that had occupied the gardens next to the Scott Monument from late July, returning to us the green space and flowers the space is intended for.

Now the Christmas Market is being set up. It doubled in size last year, but quite a few of the booths were duplicated on the two levels. And the old putting green, now abandoned even in summer it seems, is being covered in the maze and children's fair.

Is it worth it?
