Winter is icummen in

Winter is icummen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm.
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
And how the wind doth ramm!
Sing: Goddamm.

Thus starteth the parodie (by Ezra Pound) of the medieval song Sumer Is Icumen In.

Winter is indeed coming in - this morning was cold and bleak.

This photo shows you the Swanbrook River.  It may look innocuous, but in 1990 it was the cause of substantial flooding in Swanage town centre. At rear is the Church of St Mary the Virgin (late 19th century, but retaining its 14th century tower).
