Friday 17 August 2012: The important things in life
Tonight we watched 'when a city falls', a documentary on the Christchurch earthquakes.
It was heart wrenching in parts, encouraging for the future in others.
The way people bandied together with family, friends and strangers was inspiring,
But I came away feeling a little odd.
A long way from 'home'.
But now with my own small family right here
I'm not even sure what 'home' means at the moment.
But I know I gave this little man
An extra long cuddle tonight...
And I'll call my parents tomorrow.
It's been 5 years since I left NZ
It's amazing what changes in that time.
