Friday 17 August 2012: Shwedagon Pagoda

Probably the highlight of the trip to Yangon so far.

This is a truly amazing place. Very calm and peaceful, and a blipper's paradise, given the colour of the buildings change as the light changes.

This shot was taken just before the heavens opened with yet another heavy downpour. I loved the contrast of the gold against the charcoal.
