Sunday 19 August 2012: Between the cracks

Pushing its way between the tarmac and the kerbstones, this bright little flower is growing out in the street, close to our front door. I know I should feel irritated that the council are not keeping the street tidy, but there's a bit of me that enjoys the colour. I wonder if the council have been making cutbacks in this area as I'm sure there are more weeds on the street this year than in previous years, although that could be a product of this summer's weather!
