Shore Shelter

After a beautiful day, the rain came on just as we left for the much-anticipated barbecue by the beach. Duncan and Gordon had been round the woods earlier gathering firewood so that we could toast our marshmallows, and Katie had set her heart on it. So, despite the drizzle off we went. Malcolm had school reading he was feeling bad about not doing, so he stayed at home whilst the rest of us went out.

Instead of sitting on the picnic rug, we made a shelter from it. I cooked burgers whilst they enjoyed the view.

Big Branch.

We arrived home soaked, smoky and happy. Tomorrow's a school day so bext behavious all round and an early night for Dad... after watching the Vuelta. Come on Chris!

In the morning I got my bike mostly built for next week's trip to The Borders. It's light! Should be great fun. Still a few things to bolt on, but it's looking good. Expect test rides this week...
