Swiss barn on staddle stone - Saas Fee

The traditional old barns in Saas Fee still have their Staddle stones which lift the building off the ground and prevent rodents from getting up and into the barn. Its good some of the traditional buildings are retained in what is now a modern alpine ski resort. The first road was only built to Sass Fee in 1950.
